About GroupVig
GroupVig is an app for groups who share costs. It keeps one clear ledger for a trip, a household or a family, so everyone can see who owes whom and settle up without a spreadsheet or an awkward chase.
What GroupVig does
Members add shared spends as they happen, in any currency, and split each one equally, by percentage or by exact amount. GroupVig converts foreign spends into the group's currency, so the balances always add up.
Group Netting simplifies a tangle of debts into a few clean payments, so the group makes fewer transfers and nobody keeps a running tab in their head. When it is time to settle, the amount is worked out for you.
You can add anyone to a group as a light member, without an account and without a download, and invite them to claim an account whenever they are ready; their balances and history carry over.
Why we built it
Money between friends gets messy fast, and most of the mess is not knowing why a number is what it is. We built GroupVig around the idea that no balance should appear without a reason.
Tap any balance and you see the exact spends behind it, including the ones that were settled by netting. The maths is deterministic and explainable, so two people looking at the same group always see the same answer.
Who it is for
Friends on a trip, flatmates sharing bills, couples keeping costs fair, and families who pay for things together. If a group needs to split costs and settle up, GroupVig is for it.
